Greetings, visitor!

This blog is about being open-minded. Not in the common sense of the term, which has unfortunately come to mean "toe-the-line, must-advocate-every-known-liberal-position"; I'm talking about being genuinely open-minded about every issue. Open, in the sense that if you find persuasive evidence to the contrary of what you have believed since you were a wee tot, then you are prepared to accept that argument, and if applicable, make some serious practical changes in your own life.
Being open-minded isn't about being right; it's about finding the truth.
So I have titled this blog "Free Thought". Each of us has an intellect, and it is our responsibility to use this intellect to make informed, sensible decisions about life.
I will be expressing various thoughts about many different subjects, not (just) to blow off steam, but as an exercise in striving for the truth. I hope that you will benefit from my musings, and I hope that you will share your thoughts in the comments section below each blog.
